Let's say I'm a tad older than many people on the computer these days. Well, o.k., I admit, I remember when there were NO computers. Want me to start expounding about how it used to be? You know, walking six miles to school and back everyday, uphill, in the snow? So what that I grew up in Florida where there are no hills or snow ... My point is, computers, they amaze and perplex. Because of this gadget, we all can get the word out, connect, communicate. Since I put my work on Etsy and started "liking" on FB, I've made some friends that I've never met. To me, that is weird. Because of the stones I use in my jewelry, I wanted beauties. I found them at http://www.stoneme.etsy.com and met a pretty cool chick named Val. She collects, sorts, drills, and offers wonderful stones from the shores of The Great Lakes of Michigan. One of her creations is pictured. You see, Val and I've never met or talked (for real). If I saw her at Walmart, I wouldn't know her. However, I talk about Val to the hubbie, like she's my neighbor. I always say "Val, from Michigan", as if he doesn't know that by now...I "talk" to Val often through FB or Etsy. Since I was born in Michigan, it makes those little stones even more special to me.
I think I like this gadget, the computer.
So, here's to cyber friends!
Don't get me started on Words with Friends...she beats my a** every time :-/
