An oak tree was wood burned onto a birch wood ornament slice through a process known as pyrography.

To create this handmade wood ornament, an interesting oak tree was wood burned onto a birch wood ornament slice using a technique known as pyrography.
The surface and sides of of the wood slice were sanded smooth. Wax and lacquer created a smooth surface with a subtle shine that seals and protects the wood.
The image was recreated from a photograph I took of a tree in our local Arboretum.
1/2 inch thick
Diameter of the wood slice is approx. 3 inches.
A twine cord will be included as seen in the picture.
