I wood burned a portrait of a tiger onto a piece of poplar wood using pyrography or woodburning techniques. The image was taken from a photograph I took at our local zoo.

I wood burned a portrait of a tiger onto a piece of poplar wood using pyrography or woodburning techniques. The image was taken from a photograph I took at our local zoo. I drew the tiger's image onto a piece of wood. All work is original work done by me.
This is a good size for a desktop or a small shelf. Perfect for a tiger or big cat lover.
The piece fits nicely on a small display stand like the one seen in the picture. A display stand is NOT included.
Make sure to pay attention to the size of this piece. I included pictures with my hand for a good visual.
After cutting and sanding the wood super-smooth, I drew and burned the image of the big cat into the wood. The dark edges were achieved by charring the wood using a torch. The piece was coated with wax to seal the wood and enhance the color.
Please look closely at the pictures for a visual of the size. The piece is 6 1/4 inches (15.9cm) tall, 4 3/4 inches (12.1cm) wide and 1/4 inch (.63cm) thick.
