This beautiful handmade rustic wood Christmas Tree ornament was created from a slice of Eastern Red Cedar wood. I woodburned a Christmas tree and added a green glass crystal bead.

This beautifully handmade rustic wood Christmas Tree ornament was created from a slice of Eastern Red Cedar wood.
After cutting a slice from a Red Cedar branch, I sanded it super-smooth and drilled a hole. The contrasting colors are amazing and the surface is very smooth and soft to the touch. I wood burned a Christmas tree topped by a shining star and the word Christmas onto the wood. A coat of Beeswax sealed the wood and enhanced the colors. A green Swarovski crystal bead, flanked by two small metal beads were wired to the ornament. A piece of bright red yarn serves as a hanger.
A unique touch with a rustic flare.
The diameter of this lightweight wood ornament is 1 1/2 inches (38mm). The total length of the yarn hanger and wood ornament is 5 3/4 inches (14.6cm).
