I handcrafted this sun necklace charm from a repurposedpewter button. The image can be a sunrise or sunset. It was suspended from a stainless steel ball chain.

I handcrafted this pretty sun necklace charm from a repurposed pewter button. After removing the shank from the back of the button and smoothing out any rough edges, I drilled a hole, domed the button and wire wrapped a pretty light blue glass bead, flanked by two tiny metal beads to it using sturdy silver-plated wire. The pendant was suspended from a stainless steel ball chain.
The darkened image in this piece can be both the sunrise and sunset, representing the beginning and/or end of anything meaningful.
The domed button and glass bead hangs 2 inches (51mm) from a 30 inch (76.2cm) stainless steel ball chain.
