This handmade state quarter domed coin necklace was made from an authentic U.S State quarter dollar coin. The state of Maryland is represented on this quarter, dated 2000. The historic Maryland Statehouse is beautifully detailed on this coin. A distinctive building dating back to 1772, it features the country's largest wooden dome built without nails. This building is steeped in American history.
After I drilled the coin, I domed, cleaned and polished it. The metal has a bright shiny patina. This is truly a unique piece of coin jewelry. The circulated quarter is 15/16 inch (24mm) in diameter and in excellent condition. It is suspended by a sturdy ring from a 24 inch (60.9cm) rhodium-plated cable chain secured by a lobster clasp. The chain can be shortened upon request.
