For this necklace, I hand stamped 'I CARE' and a flower into a small piece of aluminum metal, added texture, drilled a hole, and cut the piece to the shape you see. I made sure to soften all of the edges. Aluminum is very lightweight and a great alternative to silver. It retains a bright silver color, is very resistant to tarnish, and contains no lead or nickel. This charm comes on a rhodium plated silver cable chain secured by a lobster clasp.
By winter, I am a school teacher, by summer, a free spirit. Because of my profession, I have met many, many people who 'care'. This was the inspiration for this piece.
